Hi, my name is Janice, and I have Sjogrens and some other autoimmune diseases. I was part of a recent online research project for Sjogrens. Did any of you also participate in the online research? Did you get your gift certificate? Just wondering because I haven't received mine yet. Thank, Janice

Good, Jfran. I, too, have four or five and now with new definitions of what causes various problems, maybe 6 or 7 different autoimmune problems. I keep telling my docs that it all must have a primary cause and it is probably mitochondrial dysfunction, that is, ATP is in short supply for whatever reason and too much ADP is being produced and lingering without conversion back to ATP. Maybe what we have is an overwhelming mitochondrial disease.

In terms of living and adjusting, it doesn't matter. We are a mess of conflicting and intersecting problems for which there seems no overriding name. We cope and do the best we can at this point.

I am really tired of hurting all the time, I have to admit. And now I have adrenal insufficiency, also attributed to autoimmunity, and that is making my life a real mess as I don't do really well with corticosteroids. I am learning how to live according to circadian rhythms however and the CSs.

I wish you well and hope to hear from you again soon.
