Yes definitely hyloforte 2%, best to not wait till eyes really dry or it takes alot of extra drops for them to settle.

Definitely Hylo-Forte. Ive been using for years. one drop into each eye four times daily. I tried the others and this is the only one that helps re: dryness and gritty feeling. Good luck

I like Systane Ultra Preservative Free and Ocusoft Retaine MGD Complete Dry Eye Relief.

I've tried mountains of over the counter drops and I like Bion Tears too.

That said I've just had Hylo-Forte recommended by my optometrist so I'll give that a try once my Bion Tears bounty is used up!

I found Hylo Forte 2mg works well for me...gets me through 4 hours. 1mg wasn't as good.

I have been using Bion Tears for almost 20 years now. I swear by them and my dry eye specialised optometrist, said Bion Tears are “very popular with her Sjogren’s women” so I think they are generally well received.

I figured out how many I use in a month, and my GP is able to get PBS approval for a months worth.

Also Optimal oniment once or twice a day is a god send. It hurts going in but fade quickly. You don’t want to put in much at all! My doc showed me how much and it was the smallest smear on a cotton tip. (Al thought I put in more) The drops are easier to find but it has additives that hurt my eye.

I find Vit Pos A gel invaluable at night and it reduces my need for eye drops during the day. When I do need something during the day it’s Nova Tears and Hyko Forte on script as they are expensive otherwise. Am in Australia too.
