Perhaps the most embarrassing type of incontinence for women to discuss is when it happens during sex. It can make a woman totally withdraw from having sex and lead to depression and isolation, etc.

While this article is a bit long, it has a lot of very valuable information for anyone who might find themselves in the same situation. Three women talk openly about their issues with sex and incontinence, and I am sure many women reading their stories would say, "That's me, too!" In each case, these women had to start the discussion with their doctors in order to get the help they needed. Most doctors are not going to ask young women if their sex lives are OK and if they are having any issues with incontinence. So ladies, you have to speak up ... and Yes, there's a lot of options and help available.
