Safe to have kids???

What are the options for someone who has SS and someone with trait? Can they still have kids? If so, what are the options for the kids if they do have the disease? Are there better treatment options to have a normal life?

Not at all a good thing, major chance your kids will get the disease! I have a rare version and my daughter got RA and thyroid disease from me. One of my parents had the trait and the other the disease. I'm a hot medical mess, had a stroke at 6 yrs old in and out of hospital constantly. I just turned 43 saturday, I am now considered palliative. And that's not having the full disease. My version only affects 1 percent of the population. Believe me no one wants to be that special.

That's not true. I have birthed 10 beautiful children. And everyone is different. My children are from the ages of 5-23. All of my children have a trait. Some have issues with pain and fever and others only fatigue. My Hemotologist and primary have noticed that I'm stronger and healthier while pregnant with less crisis due to the higher blood volume. And rest due to being high risk. All except my 1 St 5 I had with epidurals so the learn the pain and I was induced at 37 weeks to prevent complications and only 2 were spontaneous preterm deliveries. Over all the experiences were beautiful and the children are healthy minus a couple with congenitally defects but they are ALL HEALTHY AND ACTIVE! NOT 2 WOMEN'S PREGNANCIES ARE THE SAME SO NEVER DISCOURAGE A WOMAN FROM HAVING HER OWN BLESSINGS.

And it I always a must to see a geneticist so you and your love can be screened. If your love doesn't have a trait or disease the chances of baby having the disease is none.
