Hello I'm 29 years old and have sickle cell trait. For the past 2 days I've been having severe joint pain on my back knees and finger bones. Is this normal? If so what can I do to help myself. Thank you for your time.

First go to your doctor and ask to have your vitamin D levels tested. Lots of people both with and without the disease have been discovered to have a vitamin D deficiency and the symptoms start of like yours. If you leave it it will get worse.
Once you have done that come back and say what the doctor says.
I agree with bluebug. I found out months ago that I was Vitamin D deficient. I still take Vitamin D now. A pretty high dose at that. I have been taking it for about 4-6 months now.
My daughter has the trait and has been experiencing chronic pain every since she could remember. Her nails are dark and would love some ideas to help with this!
