Hi I have a appointment for scan on Monday after 3 chemo and also had appointment for chemo aswell but Iv just had a phone call to say they have put chemo on hold till after Iv seen oncologist about scan results on 17 th just wondering do they do this xx

Hi Polo, I think perhaps it’s just in case the chemo isn’t working. This happened to me when Taxol stopped working. The oncologist started me on Carboplatin about 3/4 weeks later. I’m awaiting a scan now . No point in carrying on with a Chemo if it’s not doing any good. The oncologist will find a different one that will work, hopefully. They usually do. So try not to worry. Good luck with the scan

Hi, I agree with Angela. Carbo/Taxol worked for me, but I was aware of others who had to be re-evaluated. It's good in a way that it is not wasting useless doses and your $$$ and that they will hopefully find that right combination for you. Best Wishes, Chase2017
