I was diagnosed with Stage 3.75 of Ovarian cancer at the age of 23... i lost both ovaries and other organs. During chemo, I lost all my hair; eyebrows, eyelashes, etc. When my hair started to grow back it ended up being so long and beautiful and even thicker! As I'm passing my 8 year remission mark, my hair is completely thin again and I have a lot of bald spots. I don't know what to do, it is embarrassing and I know it's just hair but I get really emotional seeing my hair down after I blow dry it and seeing all the baldness. Are there any remedies or any suggestions what I can do?

Hairloss YEARS after Full Hysterectomy

Your hair loss could be alopecia areata. However, one of my symptoms before initial diagnosis of OC 3C, three years ago, was hair loss! My body was so distressed it was trying to tell me something. I'd check with your doctor to be certain you are not having a recurrence, or another serious health issue.
Could be from menopause
Removal of ovaries or stress
Hi Killah, so sorry you are going through this, can I asked how life in general is like are you experiencing stress right now? When I was around 38 I had experienced losing patches of hair, it was really stressful seeing the hair loss and trying to redesign my hair to cover wherever the problem was. The good news is after about six months or more it stopped as quickly as it started and I haven’t had a problem since other than the thinning I’ve noticed since menopause. Bless your heart you are so young to have had to go through this. I get mad that I had to at 47. But you are here! And that’s what matters 😊 glad you are here to share your story!
