Radical Hysterectomy

About 4 weeks ago, I had a radical hysterectomy and a large tumor removed, and got diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I'm having extreme left hip pain, that won't go away. Has anyone had this problem the Oncologist mention it could be the way I was put in a sling for 6 hours. I will have a cat scan March 3, to make sure everything is ok, I would appreciate any feed back, thanks ladies💕

Good timing- I had my surgery Jan 19 and have had groin and hip pain off and on, especially the last few weeks. But it is intense. Started on one side but last week the other side began to hurt as well. Spoke to nurse again yesterday and they also said its most likely from the way they positioned my legs during surgery. Your post is a bit of validation for me as well. I was thinking the worst- of course.

I am back in chemo now as well and won't have scans for another 7 or so weeks.

Hopefully we both suffer from some surgical gymnastics 🤸‍♂️ 😳

Keep us posted!

I too was very sore after both my debulkings. At first it really confused me. I couldn't figure out why I was having pains like that. I hadn't been exercising. When it happened again after the second debulking surgery, I read up on how they do the surgery it hit me that it was from how they had me positioned for the length of the surgery. It over stretched some muscles that weren't used to being stretched that way. Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you GwenHP, it's seems like that is most likely where the pain is from. Thanks for reaching out, take care:)

Sorry to hear you are in so much pain. I had some hip pain after surgery but not like yours. I still can't sleep on my left sid but now I think it's arthritis. Hope the scan provides an answer. Nancy

I had a radical hysterectomy 4 weeks ago and have had pain from hip down thigh to ankle. My doctor told me right after surgery I might feel this because of the way she removed the lymph nodes on my left side. I go to see my surgeon this coming Thursday and will ask her again and get back to you. I'd be interested in your cat scan results. Good luck hope you get some answers and relief from the pain

I had some lymph nodes remove on the left side, that makes sense, I didn't know it could cause pain. Thanks for your feedback and I hope you feel better too🌸

You must have ovarian cancer too? I'm at stage 2, hoping my numbers don't go up.

Maybe a trip to the chiropractor if everything else checks out. They have done wonders for my back!

Hang in there. Xx Carol
