As most of you may know, September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. I wanted to pass along this helpful infographic from the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance. Please feel free to share with the other women in your life so that they're aware of what to look for. The more we help raise awareness the better!

Ovarian Cancer: Helpful Infographic
Hi Joann86,
This is a really useful infographic- particularly the right hand side.
Unfortunately for me, none of the factors regarding mitigating or decreasing risk helped me or were applicable 🙁 Long-term oral contraceptive use, 2 pregnancies, extended breast-feeding, under the age of 40, nowhere near menopause, no family history or genetic link...I do still wondering how I got it some days! I think women (and their doctors) need to not rule out OC when diagnosing the symptoms even if they appear to be low risk. Mine might have been detected earlier if that had been the case.
Well, it is what it is, and I'm still here 18 months later, still smiling and loving life, even if I'll be on 2nd line treatment before my 40th birthday 😕

This kind of information will NEVER be accurate or even useful UNTIL the wording is CHANGED!! You only need ONE SYMPTOM -NOT ALL FOUR!!!!!!. I had ridiculous bloating and some urinary issues but because I never felt "full" fast or had any pelvic pain I blew it off. And this is how most people look at cancer symptoms-in the attempt to rule out serious issues for themselves. They assume they must be OK if they are not checking all the boxes.
