I had a TAH in 2012. I was lucky to not have to have chemo or radiation. But I do need check ups for the next 10 yes due to having cervical cancer in 05 And ovarian in 12. I am under a major amount of stress due to financial problems, other health issues, and a very volatile roommate whom through therapy I am finding is using a form of abuse called gas lighting. I have started to get menstrual like cramps, can't eat and when I do will come right out one end or the other. I am worried that the extreme stress is going to bring back my cancer as my mom had multiple reacurances over 14 years fighting breast cancer till her death in 2015. I can't figure out why my stomach hurts like it does and why I would get cramps after a TAH. Any advise or support would be very helpful.

Hi bbbluenu . I'm sorry that things have been so tough for you. Have you reached out to your physician about the symptoms you're having? I think that might be the first step in figuring out what's going on . As for the stress with the roommate- is there a possibility of getting another roommate? I'd also suggest calling our Helpline (866-537-4273) about this- you can speak to a peer specialist who can also offer some alternatives. Please keep us updated on what happens- we're here to help when you need it.
