Not getting chemo, anyone else in my shoes?

So glad to find this group. It's been 1 year and 6 weeks since my diagnosis and first surgery. I have two cancers, Ovarian Stage 1 (epithelial) and Uterine Stage 1. I've never had chemo which freaks me out because I feel like the only person with ovarian cancer TO NOT GET CHEMO. My tumor was huge the size of a cantaloupe and I remember the Dr saying you should be dead but obviously I'm not. My questions are has anyone else NOT HAD ANY CHEMO? And also what is your standard treatment? (Meaning how often do you get blood work, catscans, MRIs etc?

Thanks! Angie

Hello! I can't offer any advice as my mum is stage 4 but could it be because you're stage 1? If you're unsure of your treatment and the reasons behind it, please don't hesitate to ask your nurse specialist... you're entitled to ask them as many questions as you need :) we were hesitant to contact ours when we had questions and I wish we hadn't now because it caused so much worry. Hope someone on here can give you an answer:)

My tumor ruptured inside me it's been one year and no chemo her either....

How did you know it ruptured, did they tell you after surgery? Did you have the full staging process? I had ovaries, uterus, omentum and all pelvic lymph nodes removed? Thanks for responding sorry to see you here

A friend of mine' S sister had stage 1 uterine cancer. She didn't get chemo.
