Hello my palliative doctor prescribed me Hydromorphone for pain but it makes me really sick and nauseous, any suggestions for other options that you have a good experience with?
I appreciate your opinions and suggestions on this matter.

If its possible I would suggest you get back in touch with your palliative doctor. There are medications that can stop the nausea etc or there are other options for pain management. I used to work at hospice here in NZ and we had a consultant for a few years who was very well respected from Canada. He basically had written the book on palliative care and it showed us that Canada had a supreme palliative system.
I am in the US so our drugs might be different. Morphine makes very sick so I have been using Oxycodone as well as Percocet (Oxycodone with Tylenol), most of the time these two drugs are helpful for my extensive bone Mets. Palliative care is an amazing resource so they should be able to help you get some medicine that doesn't make you sick. Good luck.
Take right after eating. The nausea should get better with time. You can also ask your doc for an antinuasea med like zofran or promethazine.
But remember that if you're taking both pain meds and anti-nausea meds that they both cause constipation. Lots of fluids, moving around, and stool softeners at the very least should help.
When I was initially but belatedly diagnosed with mbc and my primary doc thought I was a goner, she gave me prescription naproxen for the pain caused by the 12 centimeter mass in the middle of my chest. It worked just fine. Non-narcotic, no nausea or constipation.
Hi Tammy thanks for your information and hope you’re doing well!
Very well! Saw a rehabilitative medicine doctor for pain caused by anastrozole yesterday. He said I am doing remarkably. That cheered me up. Amazing how far gone my cancer was, yet since I started treatment, it has barely made a dent. I am asymptomatic. My oncologist is never encouraging, so it was nice to hear.
