My dads past 2 PET scans have shown NED. he was diagnosed last summer with MBC to his bones.
my dads liver enzymes (ASTs) went from 28 to 38 in a month and normal for the lab he goes to is less than 40. His ALK phos is normal and his ALTs the other liver enzyme went from 26 to 32 in a month and less than 41 is normal at his lab.
I am really freaking out about this even though both enzymes are within normal range. I would love to hear some encouraging words if possible. Thank you so much.

The results are within normal range. The rise may be due to his treatment. I have several abnormaly high blood results due to treatment the consultant says they're normal for someone like me (MBC) on treatment.
If they are within normal range, then there is nothing to freak out about. This is a long haul disease (for many) and if you are worried about normal numbers, then you need to check your reactions. It’s not healthy for either of you. He could be in for a roller coaster ride and adjusting to new developments is vital for everyone’s sake. Maybe talking to a doctor or social worker at the medical center would be beneficial.
My liver enzymes have been on the rise since November. They aren’t way out of range but higher than the past 2 years. My MO is not worried. Liver enzymes can fluctuate by 40% within a day. I have MBC to bones and liver. Please try to take a breath.🤗
What does the oncologist say about this ? I don't think they are too far out of "normal " . I understand your concern and would send a message to the oncology team for clarification .
the LFT could fluctuate just like other lab values depending on many non-cancer related factors. In your dad’s case there are within limits of normal, so I, personally wouldn’t worry about the mild increase.
But for your peace of mind, pls check with your oncologist.
