neutrophil count

Hi

My neutrophil count is only 0.7. I have started my second cycle of ribociclib (combined with letrazole) and I wanted to know ... can my neutrophil count go up whilst on ribo ... or does ribo suppress it further ... is it possible to go up whilst on ribo?

Mine didn’t on the first two tries with ribo. Now I’m trying 400mg instead of 600mg.

I’ll be getting bloodwork tomorrow (after 2 weeks) and then again in 2 weeks, after my week off.

I’m interested in reading other people’s experience with this.

Hi Kim. I’ve been put on 400mg for my second cycle. Let’s see what happens.

I'm on letrozole and palbociclib and my oncologist won't let me continue if my neutrophil count is below 1. I have to wait and week to see if it's recovered. X

I'm the same as Beryl. After mine were low 2 months running they lowered the dose. I had blood test yesterday and it was slightly low so went for retest this morning and fortunately had gone to 1.1 overnight so I have been given the next course of pills.

Hi Susie! Neutrophils can be all over the place month to month. I am on Ibrance 125 mg for 15 months and it has gone from 2.5 down to 1.1 and back to 2.0 in 3 months. My Onc won’t make any adjustments unless my count got below 1.0 and stayed there. The Ibrance and Fulvestrant shots have gotten me to NED status so I am not anxious to make any changes.

My neutrophils kept dropping too low. After starting with 125mg. of Ibrance then to 100mg. I'm now taking 75mg. Two weeks on, two weeks off and they're staying stable at around 3.0. My MBC has also stayed stable, nothing active & nothing new. I'm sure your onc will find the right balance.Best to you,

Carolyn

Don't worry if you have to lower the dose. Many of these drugs work even at the lowest dose.

Thanks June - there was a discussion on Firday about lowering from 600mg to 200mg and I was worried this wouldn't be enough ... - they decided to put me on 400mg and see but I'm glad to hear your comments as this is reassuring thanks
