Hello everyone, writing here regarding my mother.she had lung mbc after 8 years in 2020,was put on letrozole and ibrancre.in the last scan 4 months back,it seemed she developed new tumours in another lung.doctor tried for biposy which was failed and put heron faslodex injections .
This month scan showed decrease in orignal tumor ,doc said its not active as of now.and other nodules in the another lung got desapaired ,he said these were not cancer.
My doubt is if ibrance and letrozole combo was working,he changed to the second line treatment.
Can she be put on aon letrozlole and ibrance combo again.its first line treatment.

I think the protocol depends on where you are and under what circumstances the medications were changed.
From what I understand it used to be very rare to revisit a previously discarded treatment….but that attitude is changing now.
In my case I was over sensitive to Kisqali but seem to be okay with Ibrance. My oncologist said we might try Kisqali again in the future as it was working on reducing the cancer and I might have more tolerance for it after having gone through other treatments.
There are constant developments in medication administration too. You might be offered different combinations of medications previously tried at later dates.
