Hi, anyone here ER/PR+, Her2- doing Trodelvy and/or Keytruda trial?

I understand this is for TNBC patients but recently read that patients in the US is doing a trial but not sure if it is available in other countries. It's not available in Australia.

Hello,

After our exchange three months ago on a different site, I'm very glad that you finally did find your way to this site! You have a great deal to worry about with your young children and your MBC liver mets. I will see whether I can find any recent research that relates to your question.

I hope some of the knowledgeable people here respond to your post. There are many who have dealt with MBC for years (even decades) and some started when they had young families. Sandra (girlsptz) and Anne (Bestbird) have general knowledge regarding a wide range of modern cancer drugs so you may hear from them, or could consider sending them a private message with your questions.

I will find and post a link to Anne's MBC treatment guide which she updates, and makes available as a PDF file for MBC patients.

Warmest wishes & Hugs,

Cindy

Hmm, it doesn't look like you can click on the link above so you may have to type it into your browser. Here is a copy of the forward:

"ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Anne Loeser is a layperson with decades of firsthand experience with breast cancer. Her initial encounter occurred in 1993 when, at age 35, she found a lump during a breast self-examination that was misdiagnosed by mammograms and an ultrasound as normal breast tissue. Four years later, biopsy results revealed Hormone Receptor positive Stage 2 breast cancer (HER2 status was not tested at the time). Anne underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and hormonal therapy and remained in remission for several years.

After Anne became hoarse in 2011, a doctor determined that one of her vocal cords was paralyzed. A subsequent CT scan revealed the presence of multiple lung nodules, malignant pleural effusion, and malignant pericardial effusion. Subsequent pathology results indicated a recurrence of her original breast cancer.

Anne’s oncologist suggested a clinical trial of an experimental chemotherapy drug (which subsequently failed). Instead, she consulted a second doctor who recommended endocrine therapy. Seeking a second medical opinion spared Anne the toxic side effects of chemotherapy, taught her the importance of seeking multiple expert opinions, and emphasized the value of undertaking research when making treatment decisions.

Despite being a layperson, Anne continued to conduct research regarding MBC and its treatments. In 2015, she wrote The Insider's Guide to Metastatic Breast Cancer which she has forwarded in .pdf format upon request to more than 3,200 patients and caregivers worldwide. She continues to update all 3 versions of the Guide (paperback and eBook on Amazon, and the .pdf) as new research unfolds. Patients are welcome to order the book or download the .pdf on the ORDER page or by pressing the button below.

A member of the Metastatic Breast Cancer Alliance, Anne has co-authored a peer-reviewed article regarding Atypical Patient Responses that was published in Nature Partner Journal Breast Cancer.

Please note that Anne does not offer medical advice, nor will she accept responsibility for any actions taken (or not taken) by viewers of this site or readers of her book or .pdf.

It is Anne’s hope that the information provided in The Insider's Guide to Metastatic Breast Cancer will enable you or a loved one to attain the best possible outcome and quality of life."
