MUSICAL EAR SYNDROME

Please, I typed a very long lengthy email about this. I am now totally deaf in my right ear. I put "Musical Ear Syndrome" on top but I was replying to another poster asking how I was doing. I have had a rough two months so I was not on the board, nor was I ever really, on a regular basis.

If any of you have the time, could you please, please read it and let me know if you or anybody you know with stage iv breast cancer (to lungs, and spine) have heard of this or know somebody who experienced this. I need to know that maybe somebody else has gone through this bc if the total sudden loss of hearing in my right ear is permanent, I think I am done.

My pain doctor made an appt. with me and the earliest she could get was for 2/7 with the head of the ENT department. I emailed him a few days later, (I figured out his email address) and pleaded with him to see me sooner bc I was having a hard time dealing with this and felt like I was losing my mind and cannot wait that long. I now see him tomorrow at 3:15 and am terrified this may be permanent. Never believed in hallucinations but now that I have experienced it, it is scary. I live alone so that makes it 10 x worse. So if anybody reads it and knows something about Musical Ear Syndrome, I would be so grateful.

Thanks.

I really hope your visit wih the ear doctor was helpful. I did google "musical ear syndrome" because I hadn't heard about it before. I won't repeat what I learned since your ENT specialist probably reviewed what is known about it. I sincerely hope you are now much less scared!

Warmest wishes & hugs,

Cindy
