I was wondering has anyone had to stop chemo treatments and not finish it all or continue it later.
I had to stop chemo for a month because my liver enzymes were HIGH.
I am back getting treatments again but it seems like my body just doesn’t want to continue with it. I am just 3 treatments away from finishing. But I don’t want to do more harm to my body anymore…. if my liver gets damaged then what was this all for???

Hi, I had to stop chemo early. My blood counts went haywire and couldn’t recover. I did have a recurrence 6 months later that got zapped with radiation and then I was put on Ibrance for maintenance. Still doing well nearly 4 yrs on Ibrance.
Best wishes to a speedy recovery from the chemo.
I agree with Sandra. The members of this board are all Stage 4 MBC. This forum welcomes all readers, but I worry the info you read here is inapplicable to your particular Stage 1 with no nodes involved. You may draw inaccurate conclusions from MBC posts about your own Stage 1 treatment needs.
Please, talk to your oncologist. I respect you’re worried. You should know that Stage 1 with no lode involvement is much much lower risk than Stage 4 MBC.
Mercifully, Stage 1 does not involve the intensive treatment MBC requires. The prognosis for Stage 1 is generally very good.
