Hi ladies

The last few weeks have been tricky. I stopped my last chemo about 4 weeks ago as I’ve had a problem with fluid and enlarged kidneys. All was going well and I was dishcharged on Monday however by Tuesday morning my temperature had risen so I had to come back in. I’d lost 17 pounds of fluid throughout my first visit but now due to infection I’ve put it all back on again. If they can get my temperature and swelling Down I can come home tomorrow, if not he wants me to have the first cycle as an inpatient as cancer cells are now showing in my bowel and lungs. The chemo he wants to put me on is Eribulin has anyone else been on this chemo.

I’d really appreciate any advice cause I’m struggling so much

Sending so much love to all of you ❤️

I'm sorry you are going through all of this...and we are on similar paths! I was hospitalized last weekend for fluid (ascites), though mine was caused by liver and stomach/bowel mets. Today I will start on 1/2 dose of Eribulin, in the hope that it kicks back the cancer but isn't too hard on my liver. I've done a lot of research on Eribulin and am in a Facebook group for women on it. Lots of positive studies and personal experiences, and it's been around a long time. I'll be your "Eribulin Sister"....let's stay in touch and help each other through this! Sending you love and hope for really good results. Patty

So far so good. Very easy injection, didn’t need dexamethazone steroid, no nausea. Only had 1/2 dose, hoping it’s enough to start moving in the right direction. Hope the hospital food is decent!

Awh I’m so pleased!!!!!

Came out of hospital yesterday still out of breath and they also found some cells on the lining of my stomach. Can’t wait for weds so I can start killing some of this off.

Hi Sarah

Likely to start Eribulin as my 6th line of treatment on Tuesday ... Also had a 4 week break since last treatment ( combination of 2 weeks delay because I am doing it as part as clinical trial and further 2 weeks because I also ended il in hospital for 4 days because of severe abdominal pain from liver mets).

As Barbara said Eribulin sounds promising and it is only a 10m injection as opposed to the 1 hour IV for most other chemo... Good luck

I wish you the best with your new treatment. What a rollercoaster.

Sarah,

I'm so sorry about the hospitalizations and digestive tract mets, but after reading the responses here, I'm quite hopeful for some good results from your new treatment...

Best wishes,

Lynn

Hi Sarah. I have been thinking of you. So sorry you are going through such a tough time. You did so well getting rid of all that fluid, and then it returned - that must have been demoralising.

I am crossing everything for good results on this next treatment
