How to combat the loss of taste (complete loss) when taking piqray

My mums on piqray and faslodex injections , moment she starts with the piqray she starts losing taste and cannot eat anything .

I'm on Ibrance/letrozole and have lost much of my sense of taste. I take 50mg zinc daily which helps. Savory food is better; I pretty much cannot taste sweet. I've tried stopping the zinc, but taste completely goes away so I stay on it. It's cheap and certainly worth giving it a try.

I have been on Piqray since September 3rd. After about 10 days i came down with all kinds of side effects. Most have cleared up except the loss of taste. I can not live with this. I plan to ask my oncologist to change my medications. I am sorry. I know how debillitating it is to not be able to taste and enjoy food. I keep trying everyday........but no matter how good the food looks, it feels and taste different in my mouth. I have lost 8 pounds in two weeks.

I didn’t lose taste…first I’ve heard of that! But I did lose my appetite and often have to force self to eat. I now eat very slowly. It’s weird to have size 6 jeans with a loose fit after years of a snug size 10! I lost 20 pounds somewhere between Exemestane /everolimus and Piqray, and haven’t gained it back.

I’m in the process of starting Piqray twice. It looks like this post was awhile ago but I know exactly how you felt. I’m going through it now. I feel so bad & the oncologist has adjusted dose twice. I almost feel like he is going to need to adjust downto the lowest(150). It makes me sick to even think Of swallowing this pill. Did you off Piqray or stay on? Any advice is appreciated.

I am still on Piqray. 250mlg. It’s been 9 months now. It’s working very well. I have lost 40 pounds now. My taste is much better but not what it was before Piqray.
