Waving back now

Been waving from the allotment Clare. It’s so hot right now and looks wonderful across the water. Hope all is ok with you and you are managing to get out and about. We actually had a lunch out with my stepdaughter Friday, we sat outside and it was so lovely, first time in 18months. Inside was so busy so we decided outside was best.

Take care and enjoy the weather if you are not working that is.

😂 Does everyone wonder who you are waving to?I bet the allotment is looking amazing. At last today was hot hot hot. It’s the first day there hasn’t been a cold wind.

I managed a lunch outside last Monday with 2 friends. It was lovely being able to do something vaguely normal again.

I haven’t been walking or cycling much at all because we have been getting our house ready to sell - you can imagine how much prices have risen here?!!

Lovely to hear from you

Yeh probably Clare.

Glad you managed a lunch out with friends. It just makes a nice break and let’s you know that we are getting back to the real world. We know how much house prices have risen because my stepdaughter would like a small place in Wales as a retreat. She has been looking at static caravans as well but even they are expensive. She has a camper van and decided to stick with it. She loves Wales. I don’t envy you sorting out to move. We did it four years ago and we said never again. Essex to Cornwall then Cornwall to here. We still have unpacked boxes. Hubby’s rubbish. I hope you manage to find somewhere nice.

The allotment has been full on. We managed to put the polytunnel up so lots has gone in there but as it’s been so hot we are watering 3 times a day. There’s lots of crops growing now so we are happy. It’s really is an every day visit at the moment. It’s just so therapeutic and I’m in a different world when I’m there. Watching the bees and butterflies and seeing and listening to the birds. We have a small wood across the way and the Parrots nest there. It’s just lovely.

Take care and don’t stress to much sorting out.

Best wishes

Parrots that must be amazing to look at?!!I waved again on Tuesday when we went to Tatton Park to see the Japanese garden there. That was a hot day!!

We have a house to go to, it just needs a lot of money spending on it, hence needing to sell ours!

Enjoy the allotment

That’s great Clare. Is the house in the same area you are in. Exciting new adventure.

The parrots are lovely and fly across early in the mornings in a flock. They make you aware of their presence with the noise.

We haven’t been to Tatton Park. Bet the garden was wonderful. There’s a Japanese garden near Newquay in Cornwall. We visited there a couple of times when we lived there. We bought some lovely wind chimes from the shop. So peaceful and relaxing. We also visited one in Sydney when we went to Australia to see my son.

It’s been gorgeous weather. There was a thick mist across the water this morning and chilly but it soon cleared to reveal a lovely day. We had lots of rain last night which surprised us.

We are going to an open air bring your own picnic event the weekend. It’s been organised by a local church that I don’t know of. My stepdaughter bought the tickets. We are hoping for fine weather.

Take care and keep me updated with the move. Cheryl.👋👋

Waving back! My husband planted some everbearing shrub roses along one side of our wall. The rhododendrons are starting to fade but the roses are starting to really bloom. Now I want to plant about 8 more to make a colorful hedge along that side of our garden. They are all pinks and reds. Hope I can find enough and then get them into our rotten clay, root filled soil. These seem to do pretty well with any condition. Glad you enjoyed your lunch!

That’s great. Old English roses are my favourite. We had a bed of them mixed with white lavender and geraniums before we moved. They were pink and red also. Enjoy your flowers. That’s a nice thing to plant.

My goodness that’s hot. It reached 85 here yesterday and it was so humid. Today is better. I will keep posting positive news about our growing. Best wishes
