NEAD!

I have had a number of scans in the last few weeks. The docs that write the scan reports can be frustrating in what they choose to say or not say. Oncology team was unsure about some areas that were Mets when I was initially diagnosed in bone- hip and scapula. I went over the images with my Med Onc and it seems like those lesions are healing! Celebrating with some Chardonnay tonight before I go back on Ibrance and won’t feel like drinking alcohol. I have been off Ibrance because of surgery in March. Yippee! No Evidence of Active Disease. I’ll take it!😀😀😀

Mine just looks at the report. I’m frustrated my last bone scan said mild improvement? How do I know about the lesions if they are gone? Glad your Dr does. I’m going to ask at next scan the radiologist. Are you on Ibrance, Xgevia?

Exemestane and Ibrance 15 cycles

Hi. I’m on exemestane as well. Any side effects? Weight gain? From either? I have very low neutrophils from Ibrance. Delayed 2 weeks last cycle. Ugh. Have you? That concerns me.

Weight gain? Who can tell if it’s quarantine or the meds. Yes, 5 pounds heavier! I have not had to delay treatment, but that is fairly common side effect.

Well, I just happened to decide to retire right before I was diagnosed. My mother was ill and I was going to care for her. She passed 2weeks after I put papers in to retire……. But, my stressed level after retirement is much lower!

I do Reiki( long distance) and Tapping, and use medical cannabis for sleep.

My big heavy hitters are Ibrance 125 and exemestane!

❤️

Wonderful news. Enjoy your wine and have nice thoughts. Best wishes. Cheryl

Wonderful news. Yes enjoy that wine. I agree about the doctors who read the scans. However, I now think reading scans isn't a perfect science and can be difficult. Never the less it is good to be aware of the reports.

Cheers, June S.

Fairly new to the group and just learning the acronyms. NEAD and NED..... I hope to be able to report that one day! I have my first appointment with my oncologist today after starting treatment to see if there is any improvement or at least no worsening. Fingers crossed for a good result because I am not feeling very positive.

Hi Karen— welcome to this great group!! NEAD— no evidence of active disease— they can still see lesions on my bones- they are healing or changing now.

It takes a bit of time for all of us to adjust to this diagnosis and the treatments and all the procedures and terms. What an education we are getting first hand!

Wishing you all the best success with treatment! We are here to support you!❤️

Sigh of relief. My results were good. No increased growth in bone metastasise and reduced size of a couple of spots on my liver. I feel so much more positive and hopeful now.
