Hello all: I read recently someone wrote about taking 40mgs. of Tamoxifen and now I can't find it. Can you let me know what it was. I think there was a reference to a study about this. Thanks.
Cheers, June S.

I take 20 mg tamoxifen, I didn't know we could take 40 mg. Everyone is different I know, Take care...
Hi Susie: I didn't know either and there is nothing to support this dosage. I just read something here recently that referred to taking that dosage. I take 20mgs. as well. I think the message said she took it temporarily. I did a search but it didn't come up again. See Cindy's message also.

Hi June,Were you thinking about the Livertox article I mentioned some time ago. One of the concerns for taking 40 mg of tamoxifen is the impact on the liver (however, almost all drugs can have a negative impact on the liver which processes whatever we take in). Anyway, the reference was:
NLM Citation: LiverTox: Clinical and Research Information on DrugInduced Liver Injury [Internet]. Bethesda (MD): National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases; 2012-. Tamoxifen. [Updated 2020 Aug 20].
Cheers,
Cindy
Thanks for the reply Cindy. No I wasn't thinking of that. It was more recent but darned if I can find it. I will let you know here if I find it.
