Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with brain Mets in November after 3 years of peace and quiet... Was on Herceptin/Perjeta for 4 1/2 years... Now on Kadcyla. I finished WBRT on December 10...Took a good 6-8 weeks for the fatigue to improve. The dry mouth is still driving me crazy.
But Mondays scan came back drastic improvement... No lesions seen! So excited moving forward...The WBRT is really tough with the physical fatigue...So glad that’s over... Have a large group of pray warriors behind me though!
-Blessings!❤️

That’s great news. So glad it worked and you’re past that. I’m on the herceptin perjeta combo now for past 2 years. Here’s to a wonderful uneventful spring and summer!!
Congratulations on the excellent results! Good to know the fatigue has ended too, and in the time scheme put forward by radiation oncologists. I’ll find out in a month or so if WRBT is right for me. Other than the dry mouth, may I ask if you experienced other side effects?
When I say bad fatigue I mean like the goal was to get dressed and eat a couple small meals each day...A few small chores is all I could manage... Thank God for Amazon shopping for Christmas! It would have been gift cards otherwise through Giant Eagle Curbside pick up with my groceries! 😂🤣😂
So wonderful to hear that a couple of ladies on here are doing well after recent WRBT... glad the fatigue has improved and the results have been worth it ! Celebrate ! x
Great news you are feeling more like yourself. It must be so frustrating to feel so incapable of doing things. Spring and Summer are on their way and what a great time to build your strength back up.Take care Clare
HOORAY FOR YOU AND FOR MODERN MEDICINE!! After a sleepy Christmas and New Year’s, you are on to all the beauty of Springtime!! Enjoy every minute! 💗💗🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi again. I want to share with you and the other mbc ladies that Phizer is going to work on a vaccine for cancer. My daughter sent me this link. Below is the link if you want to read it. Hugs Marlene
So glad to hear about your great results with WBRT and are feeling better now.
So excited about the Pfizer cancer vaccine. There is hope for us all!

Hi, hope you're doing well. How are you getting on with kadcyla? I am having my first infusion tomorrow and just wondered roughly what to expect.Thank you x
Hope your doing good , my mother who is 57 yrs old recently underwent WBRT and even after 5 weeks still she has nausea and vomiting sensation along with fatigue. Could you please let me know whether its common side effects and still how many weeks it last ?
Nausea could still be normal….however don’t be afraid to ask for another med for your stomach if it’s been over a month and it’s still not working…Fatigue could last a good 6 months. It was a year in November for me. Just now feeling back to normal 🤷♀️
