I haven’t yet experienced that in the 4 months I’ve been on Xeloda.

I have had issues with fainting and lightheadedness which was sourced to a drop in electrolytes. You can make a homemade replacement drink, or buy sachets to try..?

Yes, dizziness especially in the first few cycles. Blurry vision and irritated eyes are a constant.

I do have irritated eyes too. What do you do?

Just wipe away the tears. I don't mean that as an emotional statement. It just isn't a big enough deal for me to bother my doc about it.

I was referring to the dizziness. Balance issues can be many things. Tears can be dried off.

I have that feeling a lot. Been on Xeloda since Dec. I have a CT scheduled for the end of the month. The tips of some of my fingers are peeling and splitting. I use tons of good lotion.Robin

I’m on my third round of xeloda. 500 twice a day. I do get lightheaded for about an hour after I take the pill. My eyes are a little runny fingertips splitting but that’s been happening for a while. Other than that no major side effects. I go up to 1500 a day next week. We’ll see what happens then. What a journey.

Well funny you should mention this, I had a bout of vertigo this week! I’ve been on Xeloda a few months now, fatigue and HFS right away. The vertigo thing was new for me. I took somechewable Dramamine and it helped significantly. The next day I was still a bit dizzy. I’m feeling better now but it was disconcerting. I plan on talking to Onc about it at next appt which is coming up.

Idk if it’s related but I was a bit sleep deprived and possibly dehydrated?

Also FYI my dose is 2000 mg daily, divided into 1000mg breakfast then 1000mg dinner. One week on and one week off.

Hope you’re doing better!
