Hi Shelby 😊 I was on eribulin from September to November. I have bone and liver mets. It was a 3 week cycle for me with 2 weeks on and 1 week off. At the end of November my scan showed progression in my liver but healing in my bones. I think i’ve had seven different lines of treatment and the others kept my bones stable but this was the first I had healing with. For me, the main side effect was fatigue which crept up on me and made me feel quite poorly.
Oncologist mentioned that we are coming to the end of treatment. I have tried so many types of chemo and my body is becoming very resistant to chemo. Each pet scan I have taken over the
5 years has shown progression . My mbc is entirely in my bones no organs. The drugs you suggested I have taken already. I said I would Like to try one more time any suggestions
Have you undergone genetic and genomic testing to see whether your tumor has actionable mutations or if you've inherited a BRCA mutation?
Also would strongly suggest a second opinion, and looking into clinical trials.
You can also read about approved therapies and cutting edge research for all MBC subtypes in my book, "The Insider's Guide to Metastatic Breast Cancer" which is also available as a complimentary .pdf. For more information, please visit: insidersguidembc.com
Thank you for your response. I did go for another opinion and got the same answer.I was just starting a clinical trial on the first of december and ended up in the hospital the first of december with blood clots in my lung and. pnemonia in the other... I spent 8 days. In the hospital. Look forward to reading the insider guide......thanks again
