Good morning ladies hope today is a good day for everyone ❤️ previously on site I asked about xeloda side effects and unfortunately I can’t remember or find who it was that said she was taking zofran and compesine ok I know Spelled it wrong but it is also for nausea my dr just ordered thatfor me also in addition to the zofran because I’m so sick was ready to tell him I’m not doing this then he said my liver markers are back to normal and all blood work improved 🤦‍♀️ which is great now I have to figure out how to beat this beast of side effects everyone seems to be doing so well on it . Whoever it was and I apologize for forgetting who can you post how you take the meds and 2 nausea and diarrhea meds like the times and cycle I’m at wits end trying to figure it out. Wishing everyone on site a Happy and Healthy Holiday💖

I think it was me.

I take both. If I’m slightly nauseated I only take the Compazine and hope that nips it in the bud, which it usually does. Don’t be afraid to take it if you are just feeling like you might be nauseated. The earlier the better. If I’m suddenly nauseated, I take the Zofran and follow it up with the Compazine at the same time or as soon as I think it won’t be coming back up. Part of the diarrhea problem was that the stomach cramps that came with the nausea were so powerful they were making me go at both ends. Geez, it’s a good think we aren’t shy about talking about bodily functions!

I can’t remember what dosage you are on. I was on 4000 mg morning and evening, but they lowered the dosage to 3000 mg morning and evening which improved the symptoms, including the diarrhea to almost nothing. Now I only get nauseated if I don’t eat at regular intervals. Supposedly it still works well on lowered dosages. There are women on here who are on much lower dosages so I wouldn’t worry about asking for it to be decreased.

I’d be glad to answer any other questions you have. Good luck, and hugs, Elaine.

Thank You so much for your help 💖 just the thought of food is making me sick I think my pills are 500 each x 3 so1500 I assume. I’m on my week off and so sick yes like you said I’m sitting on bowl with bad diarrhea cramps and bucket on lap for nausea 🤦‍♀️ lol such a great site we can just tell it like it is! Hoping I can learn to control this otherwise not sure this med is worth it. Have a great day and thanks again for getting back to me. I have hard time remembering everyone’s name lol

I’m on Xeloda too and taking an Immodium every morning when I wake up and also taking the anti-nausea if I feel a little queasy...AND my nurse-practioner prescribed Remeron for my lack of appetite....usually I am a very good eater, but I’ve lost 30 pounds in the last few months.....it took a week or two for the Remeron to kick in but now that it has almost everything appeals to me again! AND it helps a lot with my sleep too, and it also it supposed to help with anxiety/depression but I have a biochemical imbalance so I’m generally happy anyway (I know I’m crazy!) so I haven’t notice that effect. But I love the help I’ve gotten with eating and sleeping. See what your doctor thinks!
