I am on third treatment on Taxol. I have the usual side effects, kind of ok, do get more tired than before. My brain seems to be working less too but am trying to wake it up. I hate the heartburn but have Mets for it. I ice my feet, hands to help with side effects during treatment. The scalp cooling system may be working but I may not be able to afford the cost, may not keep up with it (don't qualify for assistance). I did order a wig. For those who pray, let us keep on praying for each other.
Hugs and blessings,
Sue

Sending love and hoping Taxol does it’s job ! Take care ! x
Dear Sue,
Like Sandra, I am sending good thoughts and vibes your way...
I'm sorry about the side effect and am glad you're being proactive in preventing and dealing with them.
Re: the brain issue, I def had same (still do...) but when I was doing Taxol and similar infusions I learned (or finally "heard"...I'm assuming they mentioned up front) that they were putting Valium or something like that in the infusion! I was nearly done (six months of chemo) at that point but asked them to stop. I wasn't concerned about anxiety/stress and sort of felt like they were trying to tame me, as I sat in the barca lounger...
If they're including something like that in your infusion and you don't think you want it, maybe ask them to stop giving it to you? I'm not sure that it has the effect your suffering from, so maybe ask, i.e. don't take my word for it!
Again, sending good vibes, that is definitely a potent med, I'm hoping it does its job well for you!
Lynn
I am sending good vibes your way and I hope you continue to manage your side effects. I find with chemo the side effects weren’t as bad as I was expecting but the exhaustion doesn’t want to go away.
Hi Susie,
I wish you all the best with taxol and hope it will be a very effective treatment for you. It sounds like you are doing all you can to help with the side effects. I hope you are feeling well and taking the time to rest when you need it.
