Rash on Xeloda and avastin

Anyone else got a rash like this?

I was on Avastin with Femara in my first 2+ years. While I didn’t get a rash, I developed these dark large sore type things all over my body. Similar to that color. Eventually most would open into deep holes and drain black like stuff. It was gross, ugly, not painful. I had a punch biopsy done and he said it was necrotic. They increased until I was removed from Avastin. It’s 7 years later and I have dark round scarring all over.

Hi. I can't really tell from your picture, but it looks similar to my reaction to Xeloda. Mine was actually a more blotchy discoloring of my skin, rather than a rash (not raised or itchy). I had it, like your's, on my hand and arm. Also on my upper chest. My oncologist said it was a normal reaction, but maybe you should consult your oncologist just to be safe.

I don't have any advice about your rash, just want to say I'm sorry you've had so many side effects on this Xeloda/Avastin regimen. I was so happy when your scans showed that your liver had improved, but it sounds like a rough road. Hoping some of the other side effects have eased. Enjoy the weekend, best you can!
