I have been on Faslodex for about three years. I have had a little problem with it. Sometimes my hips will become a little sore for a few days, but really no side effects from it.

Been on Faslodex since last July...first couple weeks harder when you dose load upfront but gets better when you move to once a month. Shots are never pleasant and it does sting a bit-they have to inject slowly. Some women find heat helps which I tried. But I found ice helps with swelling. I sit on 2 ice packs -one for each side on my 20 min drive home. Then massage area and walk around to get circulation going. For a day or two theres a lump/tenderness at injection site but all in all not bad. Good luck!

Have been on Faslodex since May 2018 and have reluctantly changed to Letrozole because I can’t go to hospital to get my shots. I will go back to Faslodex in a jiffy when the lockdown is over because it has kept me stable.

I have been on Faslodex since March of 2019 which has kept me stable. I have a liver tumor. As another person mentioned you do tend to have more side effects during the first month or the dosing load. I had soreness and bruising for four to five days. Now I have different side effects each month. Sometimes itching at the injection site, sometimes soreness and a hard lump area. I have two nurses give me the shots at the same time. They rub the area after they give me the shots. My heated seat in my car helps after the shots and I take a walk when I get home. I can still receive my shots in my oncology office because they also do chemo. Good luck with your shots.

I've been on it for 5 years. Clearly, it's worked well for me. The shots can hurt, but they sure beat the alternative!!! Side effects are achy joints which correct themselves if I walk at least an hour everyday -- then, no problems.

I’ve been on it for 5 months now. Having a scan next month and it will tell me if it is working better than the Letrozole was in combo with Ibrance. I was dreading it but it’s not too bad. I have found that every nurse has a different way of doing it. If they do it in the correct spot, very slowly, with warmed solution I barely know I have had it. The nurses that have a slightly different spot or like to massage half way through or some other different approach always make it hurt for me, so I always ask for nothing fancy to be done. You will figure out what works for you and get very used to it quickly.

I just started Fastodex after taking Letrozole for 40 month. My markers went up so my Dr switched me to Fastodex. I too have lower back pain the day after the shots I have just finished the initial shots every two weeks and now it’s once a month. I hope this is good for you. ♥️

I have been on Faslodex for a year. I agree with all the other positive posts already here. Wish you the best! ❤️🙏❤️

Hi equavel - I've had similar experiences to the others...No real problems and it seems to have been working well! :) I'm hopeful that you'll find this treatment easy to handle...Take care, Lynn

Is it faslodex? If so I got pointers that worked for me on this site. My nurse put heat packs on the areas she is giving me the shots for about 2-3 mins, then after the shot she massages the area so it does not stay in one spot and cause muscle cramps. I then go home and lie on a heating pad for 10-20 mins so the medicine disperses. I rest if needed then I am ok. You may want to do a search with faslodex as the title and see what others have done.
