Hi Anita. I’m on Keytuda infusions but not for

MBC. Amazingly I developed plural effusion one year into my MBC DX.. But it turned out to be metastatic lung cancer. So I am on Ibrance 100 and Femara for the MBC and I am on Keytruda infusions for the plural effusion that’s all gone. All my meds seem to be working great. No major SEs. Liver mets are gone too. So right now after 2 years of treatment I’m NED. Grateful.

Hi

Yes I have had 3 cycles of trastuzasmab and pertruzamab. The first 2 I was also taking letrozole.

I stopped letrozole because i it was making me feel very unwell and I'd read that with stage IV BC it only provide an extra 3 months survival.

The main side effect was fatigue.

After 3 cycles of immunotherapy I'm now on kadcyla ...a combination of immunotherapy and chemo. Physically I feel that that is working. Next scans early may.

Hope that helps x

I was on Tecentriq immunotherapy for 9 months combined with Lynparza (a PARP inhibitor for those with BRCA mutations) in a clinical trial last year. No side effects, so very tolerable. Had progression. I am now on Keytruda immunotherapy combined with Xeloda chemo and the side effects are few. It’s not a trial, but something my Onc suggested to help extend the effectiveness of the chemo. Only have had two rounds, but I feel like it’s working. I was having tremendous pain and inflammation in my stomach and back, but it’s gone. Even my fatigue is a lot less. I have heard that the people who have severe reactions to immunotherapy are those with autoimmune diseases, otherwise it’s not bad. Good luck with everything!

I've had immunotherapy for urinary bladder cancer. They infuse the BCG vaccine transurethral. BCG is an attenuated tuberculosis bacterium. It's been almost two years...last cysto showed a new tissue growth...which looked fairly organized to me (therefore, probably not cancer) but my oncologist wants to look again next month, and maybe biopsy it from there. If it's negative I will be cancer-free two years come September.
