First thank you to all who read this and give me feedback. We are all in this together and it has been so inspiring to see so many people who share their ups and downs. Thank you for that.
I have just finished radiation on my left hip and leg. I was so bad that I was using a walker to get around or a cane if I was lucky.
Now after a few days, my left hip is doing much better and my leg is coming along. I did start to do a few things around the house like make dinner but nothing too stressful. Now my right hip is swollen and tender.
Could it be me using it so much when I was using the cane to lean on that side?
I was also thinking that it may be tender also bc my acupuncture office has shut down and in the past I would go to make sure both hips were treated. I wanted to maintain the left so it did not get like the right.
I hope I’m not confusing anyone but the long and the short of it is that my good hip is swollen. Did anyone have something similar to me? If so please share!

It could be because you are walking more and putting more pressure on the other side. I had radiation in my left hip as I was like you, using a walker and dragging it along. In the end I had hip replacement. I found my other hip and also my back had a lot of pain due to using a cane and putting more weight on it. Maybe use your walker a little bit around the house to see if it eases off.
It could also be the acupuncture that was likely helping. If it gets worse give your doctor a call but you may just need to slowly work back in to doing things. I was guilty of trying to do to much right away and cause myself a lot of pain. Let us know how it comes along.
Thank you so much for answering. I will definitely take things easier. Did your pain in your better hip calm at some point ? How long did it take? I really appreciate your thoughts.
My experience is: My diagnosis was a mass located in the left acetabulum, I was practically unable to walk. I had 15 sessions of Radiotherapy. Little by little at the end I was regaining mobility. It was not total immediately but every day was better. Then Xgeva injections began to strengthen the bones. At the moment I don't want to perform the hip replacement surgery that was suggested by an orthopedic. I have pain here or there, but I really feel great about my walk. I am 18 months from my diagnosis. Happy day. Please take good care of yourselves.
