Nausea after pelvis and leg radiation

Has anyone experienced nausea after radiation of the hip and leg ? I am having high doses of radiation for these areas and I am very nauseous.

I was given something for nausea when I had my radiation but didn’t need it. I was definitely not hungry and had to force myself to eat but didn’t have nausea. Call and ask for some medication. I’m sure they would give you something.

I was given medication for nausea but not for the same reason you stated. I found the medication did not work for my nausea so instead I just ate some plain saltine crackers and warm ginger ale (an old home remedy) and that seemed to help so much better than the meds I was given. I hope it goes away for you soon.

I was offered a steroid shot before my radiation and quickly refused because of my fear of needles. The oncologist said, " It is bad form to puke in the parking lot!" I promised him I would get into my car and throw up in the wheel well before embarrassing him. Luckily I didn't have any nausea. I sure hope you feel better soon.
