Chest pain

Does anyone having MBC have chest pain, it hurts all the way thru to my back. Also has anyone been on Ibrance and Femora and I’d so for how long did you take it before changing to a different med to replace Ibrance? I was diagnosed April 2017 with MBC, after initial Breast Cancer in2005. Thank you all so much for your comments.

I have been on Ibrance and femora since April 2017, same as you. I was diagnosed in March 2017 de nova. I am not having chest pain. You should get that checked.

Thank you. I’m going to my oncologist and tell him about chest pain today.

I have been on Ibrance/femara for three years. I don't have chest pain but do have fleeting pain on right side of chest. They think it is nerve damage from the biopsy. You might need to get it checked out. Blessings Hannah

I was Ibrance for 4 years before the cancer broke through. I did not have chest pains while on it.

Winterbliss, can you tell me now what you take instead of Ibrance. I hope you are doing good now. My heart feels for all ladies. My Mother only had a 6 percentage of it coming back and it did. It hurts so much to go through the process of pain.

I had three new spots on m spine in the neck. I am now on Capecitabine (Xeloda) which is a pill form of chemo. I don't know how long I will be on it. When I am done with the chemo, I will go back on a hormonal therapy. My scans are stable and my tumor marker is going down. I am praising the Lord for this.

That is wonderful news. The Lord blesses you. He blessed my Mother too. Thank you for replying back to me. God bless you.

When were you diagnosed? Is it MBC or more? Where are your tumors?

My initial diagnosis was in 2000. I went 14 years thinking it was gone. I was diagnosis with MBC in 2014. It compromised 3 vertebrae and is most of my bones. I am thankful it has not gone to soft tissue.

I was diagnosed in 2005 originally like you I thought that was the end of it but then was diagnosed in 2017 with Metastatic Breast Cancer in my bones, not in any organs yet, thank God. I had hurt my back prior to the MBC so it’s in my back/chest area of bones, which causes bone pain or a feeling of pressure like heartburn in my chest hurting Thru to my back.

Isn't a shock when it comes back. Yes, it is a blessing that it isn't in soft tissue. Mine isn't it either.

I was same way. I had breast cancer in 2005 went thru chemo and radiation and thought it was gone, then in 2017 I had my gallbladder removed and pathologist found cancer in the lining of my gallbladder. Now it is only in my bones.

It’s Metastatic Breast Cancer in the bones and in my head(not brain) only in head.

Hello Ladies, I'm writing for my Mother she has been taking Ibrance with Letrozole. She's been taking it since June 2018. What side effects do you experience my Mother had a kidney stone then infection and now suffers from weakness, fatigue, development of AFib ( never had an heart issue before) she never feels good has dizzy spells it's awfully bad. I would like to hear from all of you of how you cope taking these drugs and if there are other options with less side effects. Thank you.

I was diagnosed April of 2017. I had Radiation. I started taking 100 mgs of Ibrance and 2,5 mgs of Femora. pills as my chemo for her positive breast cancer that has spread to the bones. It’s in my head, , thru my chest/ back on down to my hips. I had radiation on my chest area mostly. I hurt in my chest thru to my back. I did take Xgeva injection to help keep bones strong but had my last shot in October because of teeth issues I had to stop taking Xgeva due to it can prevent dental work from healing. So I can’t go back on the shot until July. Dr will run tests to see.
