Leg cramps
Yes, restless legs ever since I’ve been diagnosed. Using the oil on my legs helps heaps
Hi
I used to get cramps mainly in my feet when on Ibrance...I found taking a magnesium supplement helped enormously

Leg cramps are not only painful, but they keep us from sleeping. As Barbteeth mentioned, extra magnesium can help.
Below from my book "The Insider's Guide to Metastatic Breast Cancer" which is also available as a complimentary .pdf, is a list of therapies for foot and leg cramps. THERAPIES TO RELIEVE LEG CRAMPS
•A calcium, magnesium, and/or potassium deficiency could be causing the cramps, so it is advisable for patients to have their doctor check their blood for levels of these minerals.
•A healthy diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables may help to decrease the frequency of leg cramps
•Magnesium Glycinate can be helpful in easing muscles and preventing cramping.
•If there is no deficiency in magnesium and/or potassium, a surprising but often-effective remedy is to place a brand-new bar of soap between the mattress and sheet on the patient’s side of the foot of the bed. The theory behind this is that special ingredients in the bar of soap may help to alleviate the cramps. Although it sounds like an unlikely remedy, many people swear by it. Once a cramp is felt, rubbing a dry bar of soap on the affected area can ease the cramp. (I've personally used this technique many times!)
•Many people find that wearing shoes that have cushioned foot beds and arch supports helps to prevent or decrease leg cramps.
•Applying warm compresses to the affected area(s) may help.
•Drinking a sufficient amount of water is essential, since cramps are often caused by dehydration
Hi Boogitymom -
They hurt like hell, right? I attribute mine to potassium deficiency and the doc prescribes potassium pills (not sure why it's perscription?) when my labs come in too low...although, as others have noted, magnesium deficiency apparently causes this, too. I don't know what they measure on your labs but maybe you can see both?
Re: the potassium deficiency, this can actually lead to serious outcome (e.g. I think heart problems?), so whenever I get the leg and foot cramps (and sometimes hands, too) I take the potassium pills. It seems to work..
Take care,
Lynn
I've done MG oil and taken Mg internally (supplements). Also my oncologist recommended tonic water because of the quinoine. (Skip the gin apparently)
I’ve not experienced it so far . I’ve been on Ibrance and Letrozole 6 months My inc has lowered my Ibrance dosage from 125 to 100 and no 75mg. Hope you are doing well.
I have leg cramps at night too, it sucks.
Magnesium didn't help me.
I keep a pair of compression socks next to my bed as soon as l feel the cramp coming on l put the socks on - it helps take the cramp away or make it much less intense.
I also get feet and leg cramps at night and sometimes even during the day . I take a Magnesium supplement and a easy fix like eating a Banana daily works for me . The day's i forget to eat my Banana i will get cramps occasionally and of course drink lots of water . I hope this helps you
