Hi, i understand your frustration.

I havent done everything by the book (ive eaten lots of cakes/chocolate . Chemos changed my appetite/taste). My mbc waa diagnosed stage iv (including brain mets) a year ago. Chemo was very effective at reducing it. Ive got a brain mri on friday and im waiting for PET results.

Im prepared mentally for stereotactic radiotherapy though its taken me a while.

Im on pertruzamab and tratuzamab. I stopped the letrazole... too many side effects and research shows minimal benefit for mbc.

Im now focussing on quality of life through choices in treatmemt (ie stopping letrozol) and boosting immune system (with manuka honey and turkey tail mushrooms) to fight off colds etc that could make me feel worse.

Dont despair, youve done the best you can and who knows you may have been worse not doing 'everything by the book'

Sending you positive and calming thoughts. Keep in touch

Xx

I wish good results for your mri and pet scans! Will be thinking of you and sending prayers and positive energy.

Boosting your immune system is a good decision.

Well, I am pissed too. It came back after 17 years and being told I had a 94 percent chance of never seeing it again.

I was blind sided by the MBC diagnosis.

Sending prayers and hugs your way, Lily. Blessings Hannah

Pissed off is a mild way of putting it. I had Breast Cancer 2013. Just op and Radiotherapy. No other treatment. It was Grade1. Then got the all clear July 2018. A few months leading up to the all clear i had bad rib pain. Went to the GP and she diagnosed Costocondritis. Usually a complaint students have, I was 68. I thought it was nonsense. Anyway after 6 months of visiting the GP and increased doses of painkillers another GP sent me for blood tests and guess what........ER+ HER2 Neg stage 4 secondary breast cancer in my bones and lungs. Plus 3 of my ribs were cracked from the Cancer hence the pain. So, March 2019 I started Letrozole, Denosumab, and Ibrance. I take the usual Calcium and VitD. My pain is controlled with Paracetamol and Ibuprofen. Such a roller coaster for us all. I hope you can have some good nights rest. My neck hurts at times but I find a hot water bottle helps. I mould a feather pillow around my head until I get comfortable. Take care🙏🏼🙂
