Ibrance and pain
I am on ibrance and letrezole and have joint pain in random places - it moves around from month to month. Alot in my back and shoulder. usually movement helps me and I do some yoga, walking and get a monthly massage (which definitely helps.) I would mention it to your oncologist and talk about frequency, location, environmental. For the joint pain she added Vitamin E to or B ( I can't remember which for joints and which for neuropathy) or they may have some other things they want to recommend or discuss.
Hi, yes, I seem to have joint pain that moves around - mostly in my shoulders at the moment but has been in my back. I have acupuncture which helps a lot, to the extent that I don't take any pain killers.
Hi there
I have recently started getting shoulder pain. I have pain from my spinal Mets anyway.
I do recall reading in the side effects of Ibrance that it can lead to back pain. Your Onc should be aware of this, and will put you in the right direction for methods of pain relief.
I hope your pain resolves

I have joint pain that moves around too. Different every month. Such a joy!
What pain medication is safe? I have arthritis and start Ibrance tomorrow. I've been on Faslodex for 3 months. I completed radiation last week. I sometimes take 400 mg ibuprofen a day or 1000 mg acetaminophen a day. The Ibrance insert says to avoid both.
I live on ibuprofen and cocodamol...I’ve never been aware of not to take with Ibrance and my oncologist prescribed them so I’m sure it’s fine
I’ll have another look at drug interactions though

Me again
Just read up on this....aspirin ibuprofen naproxen’s and paracetamol don’t interact with Ibrance BUT they could mask a fever
There’s nothing in my leaflet but found this info on line
Grapefruit pomegranate and St. John’s wort seem to be the ones to avoid

Thank you Barb. I think the Ibuprofen can make you bleed in addition to masking a fever. But at low daily intermittent doses when arthritis flares up, I'm going to take my chances. I see my Onc in 2 weeks for my first lab work since starting Ibrance and I'll ask then about pain meds. I took my first dose just now and so far so good
