Yesterday I received the results of my bloodwork since I started Fenbendazole on August 16 and was so happy and relieved that my tumor markers went down CA15-3 from 55.44 to 44.74 and CEA from 15.86 to 15.08. My liver enzymes, creatinine, BUN and CBC were all normal (well normal for my ANC is 1.065)
Two months ago, my CA15-3 went up from 33 to 43 and CEA from 13 to 15.46 Last month, CA 15-3 went up again from 43 to 55 and CEA from 15.46 to 15.88. I also had a PET/CT scan last month as my onc wanted to see what was causing the rise in markers. Scan results were “mostly stable”, no new nodes but nodules in pleura increased in SUV intensity and the supracarinal node though not enlarged lit up as well (previously did not light up at all.) in other words, the cancer was active. There was also fibrosis in left lung which may be due to inflammation/infection. My onc decided not to change my meds Ibrance and Fulvestrant which I was thankful for.
Last August 16, after the scan, I started the Fenbendazole Panacur C 1gm for 14 days then rest for 4 days then took it for 3 days again before my blood work on Sep 5. I paired it with Vit E and Vit D3. I also continued with my probiotics and tart cherry capsules.
I do not know if it is the Fenbendazole that caused the reduction in markers but I would like to think so. I have not experienced any side effects and apparently, it is okay on the kidneys and liver (based on my bloodwork) although I don’t know about long term use since I’ve only been taking it for less than a month.
I am sharing this so that those taking Fenbendazole and those thinking about taking it will learn from my experience. I will continue to take it on the 3 days on 4 days off schedule together with my Ibrance and Faslodex. I take the Fenbendazole at breakfast and the Ibrance after dinner.
Hope this information helps. I am thankful that I can continue with Ibrance and Faslodex and hope that my next blood work in 2 months shows another reduction in tumor markers. God is good and I will continue praying for healing for us all🙏 For those who are taking Fenbendazole, please share your experiences.
