I am good at some boundaries, not all. And I tend to go off as in the first response. I want to be less emotional and more in control

I was raised in that time (with 5 siblings) of Wait to be asked, Wait to be offered... so I sometimes have a hard time with being assertive and asking (prying)

Only through experience have I learned to say No to something I feel may not be appreciated or in my best interests.

I did raise 3 beautiful independent people

I was raised similarly. Lots of passive aggression. So much better to be direct in a calm unemotional way. Not easy to change especially at this age!
