I have been wondering about soy and soy bi products can u tell me about other soy products to stay away from? What about soy lecithin.

The dietician at my cancer center told me soy lechiten was fine and to limit my other soy to no more 3 products with soy per day. I was rapidly losing weight and called her to discuss this and this is what she told me. She also mentioned that if the ingredient list says "may contain soy" those are fine too. Stay strong in Him!

I made changes to my diet last year and I even switched Adcal D3 brands from one that contained soya to one that doesn't. Soya is in so many foods in one form or another: soya flour in bread, soya lecithin in chocolate, soybean oil in mayonnaise and medication, the list goes on! I am working my way through a vegan book at the moment and I have skimmed through the part that mentions the possible link between breast cancer and soya.

My oncologist doesn't think there is a link (she mentioned studies in Japan where women tend to have a lower incidence of breast cancer), but two hospital pharmacists told me to steer clear of soya. So to be on the safe side I cut soya out of my diet. I am open to the idea that it may be safe, but I just don't know. I wish there was a definitive answer either way so that we could know for sure.
