can anyone tell me if pain continues even as bone mets heal? I'm on Ibrance and don't get a scan until June but every couple of nights I get a severe burning pain in my pelvis where there are bone mets. I have been on Ibrance for 3 months

pain with bone mets
Hi Worldtravel,
Yes! My doc told me this, i.e. that pain/discomfort/sensation is very similar in healing vs. ...desctruction (?) phases. Sometimes when I feel that mild pain-like sensation I remind myself of this and embrace it! Best, Lynn
I like your thinking!!bone Mets too for me- just started the ibrance journey- wbcs in the toilet blood work again on Thursday- feel fine lol!!!
Yes. I have also had continual bone pain. Even though my scans say where I’m feeling it the places have shrank. Just think of it as a reminder that the meds are working. Be blessed and continue to fight.
Hello wt75! I’ve been on Ibrance/Letrozole for 15 months. Mets to spine and pelvis. I still get aches in my back fairly regularly, despite no signs of progression. In the first year, I was getting monthly injections of Xgeva but onc eased off to prevent bones from becoming too brittle. With our bone mets, bones are undoubtedly weaker and likely prone to some pain. I take Tylenol every night and it seems to help. Bless you! Linda
