I saw second opinion radiology oncologist yesterday— a lot of don’t knows. Last spine mri thoracic showed Mets t4,5,6,9 and old t7,8. I was told by another dr could not be treated again so went for 2nd opinion.
Bottom line is we don’t know if Ibrance and faslodex are working so have to do another mri(last one was in dec 2018.) then we will know if radiation can be done again-depends in results. My treatment is tomorrow as well as therapy. Just feel sad no clear cut answers. Love to all

Hang in there, we will probably always have a lot of unknowns, so frustrating. Don't give up hope. I will be praying for you and that you find the answers you so need.
I was told that radiation to a different spot other than where I was originally radiated (t10 and 12) was a possibility if I needed it in the future. Here’s hoping you get another answer from your other doctor or at least another option for treatment. Are they giving you symptoms?
It’s possible but unknown. Apparently they can target the spot with sbrt but there are risks it could still hit the ones that were done already. Then there’s risk to spinal cord, etc. Also can’t get an answer to why t7,8 stilll show activity because they had radiation.
Don’t know if it’s new disease process, radio resistant or radiation did not get it all. Unknown after unknown. Today is treatment day with faslodex and xygeva. Will discuss with my onc. I am having pain in the thoracic area.💕💕
Hi Frances,
I wish you all the best as you move forward with all this. The uncertainty of what is coming up tends to be the worst thing. While treatment is working and we are stable we feel able to breathe and get on with things in a more settled, comfortable routine.
You're welcome, Frances. I hope that you will soon have some answers and can start a new treatment as quickly as possible if that is what your oncologist comes back with. Once the wait is over, you will hopefully feel better.
I know, waiting and praying "it may not be there" is worst part. I underwent surgery for prostate 1.5 years ago and now my wife has MBC. I did pray during my ultrasound/biopsy/Pet CT and post surgery biopsy (which showed all is not well, and I am on observation). Results are good and doctor guess is 10 years. During wife's investigation, I continuously prayed "God atleast spare her". But no!
You called us sisters and warriors and so we and you are. Stay positive sis. You don't know what your next MRI has in store. All will be good. Amen!
Hi Francesca. I wish you the best outcome on your future therapy. Yes, it is sad but there is lots of evidence that believing you can get well helps with healing. I am trying to stay positive in my own situation. But sometimes it is hard. The body does have the power to heal itself so we have to give it all the love and hope we can.
