First of all I wishing health for all members; my brother's wife has got breast cancer and her doctor has prescribed Palbociclib 125mg; I was checking different brands for online purchasing within Europe and found totally different figures, in the range of €450-€3500 per pack (21 capsuls); my question is what is the normal price for a good quality Palbociclib 125mg?
Thanks

Sorry to hear that. Here in US my insurance pays $18,000. A month for ibrance. I don’t know conversion rates to euros. Maybe someone else here knows. Good luck with this it is pricey.
Many thanks Francesca for your empathy and reply; actually she is living in Iran and the insurance coverage is very limited, some thing about 500 dollars.
The pricing I've found here in the US is about $11,000 a month for Ibrance. Don't know how if generic Palbociclib is available in Europe, but we can't only get brand name Ibrance in the US. If you can get a generic version, ask the onc. or specialty pharmacist (if you have one) what is a reliable brand.
My Ibrance is $13,000+ for 21 pills a month. Which is insane!! Thank God my insurance pays most of it. I don’t know why they even charge for these medications that save your life! We’ll die without them yet they charge that much knowing the average person can’t afford it😔
There has to be a way to help these women in other countries. I heard if you write to them, they will help with cost or even cover all cost. Can you try this route?
I sincerely hope you get a good response from Pfizer.
Here in the U.K. we are very lucky and get the medication free on our National Health Service.
I had heard when negotiations on price with NICE ,who regulate what drugs the NHS can provide were being undertaken with Pfizer, they gave it free to patients who would medically qualify for the drug.
If this is the case hopefully they will give your sister similar help. You have nothing to lose by asking.
Please do check the cheaper source mentioned has been licensed by Pfizer.
My cost is $0. My Oncologist's office has a division that looks for Grant's to cover the cost. My insurance co-pay would be $3,000 a month for 21 pills without the Grants! I told my Oncologist that if they can't find assistance, I would not be able to afford the medication. He told me not to worry about it, they had it covered. I suspect we are all part of a research trial for these newer cancer drugs.
Hello EMN21, There is 2 different generic version available of Ibrance. 01. Palbonix and 02. Palbocent. both have 21 capsules and 125 mg tablets. Bonhoa is expensive pharmacy. I can suggest you that you can get it more cheaper in EmergencyDrug.Com. One of my friend brought lunch cancer medicine from them. they are reliable and offer best rate. Moreover I heard that they are from the same country where this generic version is manufacturing. So I guess you can contact them and find a solution.
