Hello 🎀 very grateful to be in this group. Today I had an appointment with a traumatologist, he wants to do surgery when we can remove all the cancer cells from my left hip. The option that the doctor gives is to place a prosthesis. Some of you know if this is the usual or there may be another option different to the surgery. Thanks 🌺🎀

Sounds like a great plan...new hip...no cancer...no chemo or radiation...works for me! Good luck and continued blessings of healing for u! 😀
Hi Maludagui,
I was in horrendous pain last year, could barely walk and was told that I needed a hip replacement. I was nervous about the surgery and sought multiple opinions. The 4th doctor I consulted with was an orthopedic oncologist at Beth Israel and she told me that I didn’t need it and to wait a few months for my meds to take effect. I’m so glad I did because I am no longer in pain and my bone mets are healing. Your situation is probably different but it doesn’t hurt to get multiple opinions.
Sending ❤️
