Usually someone on Ibrance has below normal white blood cells. So while I wouldn’t obsess about it but I would eat healthy fully, take your vitamins, lots of hand washing and avoid contact with sick people if possible. I take chaga mushroom tincture. Great for the immune system. I work as a school nurse and rarely, thank goodness, get sick.

I tried adding Mushroom Defense and the second day I was doubled up on the toilet all morning 😿. I’m putting that away for a while!

Do you know what was is it? I take a tincture if one type of mushroom. Chaga. I’ve been doing it for years, no problems. Of course everyone reacts differently. I also took it in a powdered form, no issues.

Your mom needs to avoid viral and bacterial bugs because of her lower white blood cell count. As long as someone is not sneezing and coughing, limited exposure is okay, but if someone is actively sick then she should avoid them and areas where they have been. Good handwashing, not putting her hands on her face and cleaning well used surfaces...door handles, kitchen tables, etc will help. I avoid my grandkids when they are really sick. FaceTime is my friend in that case!

My WBC counts are always low. I avoid being around anyone actively ill with something contagious. I wash my hands frequently. So far i have not caught anything contagious. I do get sinus infections once or twice a year. I attribute that to environmental allergies and also the Ibrance/letrozole really dries out my nasal membranes and causes sores. So that can evolve into a sinus infection.
