Hi Ladies! Any chance that anyone out there is on the TAPUR Trial? I just started it and am hoping someone else on the site has some experience with it. It is an immunotherapy targeting people who have a higher than normal tumor mutation burden. Thanks for reading!

TAPUR TRIAL
Hi! Can u explain what a higher than normal tumor mutation burden is? And how did u u find out u have it?
Thanks! Hope this new treatment works for u! 🙏🏻💕
Hi. So a tumor load refers to the number of cancer cells, the size of a tumor, or the amount of cancer in the body. Also called tumor burden. I have extensive bone Mets and as of June, a few small lesions in my liver. I am a patient of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) in Goodyear, AZ. My oncologist got me approved for genomic testing which is how they came to realize I have a high TMB. As I understand it, the normal TMB for breast cancer is 16, my TMB is 25. At the time of my diagnosis two years ago, I was on Ibrance and Letrozole, which lasted for 16 months. Since then I've been on Affinitor and Exemestane...epic fail for me after six weeks, at which point we moved to an infusion chemotherapy called Paclitaxel...yet again, epic fail after 8 more weeks. So...that's how I ended up here. If you want to know more about the trial, Google Tapur Trial. There are 16-17 different drug options, I am now on Nuvolumab and Ipilimumab.

-Blessings and prayers to u! 🙏🏻💕
I’m going to meet regarding a trial at John Hopkins soon. I don’t have specifics yet but it sounds to be the same.
