Flu shot

Taking Ibrance and Faslodex and doing extremely well. Is it a good idea to get the flu shot?

I've been on Ibrance and Faslodex for over a year now and my oncologist recommended my getting the flu shot I did last year and have gotten mine for this year already. Ask your doc but I'm pretty sure it's worth having.

Just went to the hospital yesterday for my faslodex injection and blood work and yes they gave me a flu shot. I am slid in ibrance. Get the shot!

My once wants me to have the enhanced vaccine toward the end of the week I don’t take the pill. I have it scheduled. I’m almost a year on this combo.

I’m on ibrance now for2 1/2 years. Onc said I should get flu shot but do not let them sub the flu mist for the shot!!

Correct in mist! I would also ask for one Without preservatives

I personally aren’t bothering..the vaccines are usually way behind the mutation of the virus so usually ineffective

I’ve never had one though even when I was a healthcare worker

However that’s my opinion..I’ll see what my oncologist says as I am on Ibrance

I have a history of several bouts of pneumonia and multiple allergies. I have gotten a flu shot every year since they were created. The cancer center where I am treated generally has them available for patients and my onc and primary care doctor have always recommended them. I got one about two weeks ago this year.
