I've been on inbrance and letrozole for 4 months and my breast that has the cancer is all pink and lots of pain is this normal
In my limited experience this doesn’t sound like a drug side effect. Does your doctor know?
Hi,
I take Letrozole too, and was warned that one of the side effects is a "tumour flare", where you can feel some pain in the affected breast. Does it feel like a sharp shooting pain? I had that when I first started Letrozole, but it went away quite quickly. I have also had a little redness, but my last CT scan showed treatment was working. It does sound like you are experiencing a tumour flare up, but obviously I can't say for sure. Are you due to have a CT scan soon? I would definitely mention this to your oncologist or oncology nurse team so that you can be examined or be given advice on what to do if the situation is not improving.
Take care,

Hello, i was on ibrance for 11 months and never developed such pain. It might be a side effect of letrozole. You should definitely check this point with your oncologist
Lots of warm thoughts

If I were in your shoes I would call my onc's office today, this morning, and ask to speak to the nurse who works with my onc and report this. It's better to call a bit too often than not quite often enough! Let them know about the pain and pinkness. Any new pain that is enough to make us take pain meds should be reported right away. And talk with your onc about what needs to be reported ASAP (like on Saturday night) and what needs to reported within a day.
Yes check with doctor today.
One never knows what drug reactions you could be having. I’ve taken letrizole for 6 years without incident but that is me
Hi I had growth from the 2 drugs so I was taken off and put on tamoxifen I've been on for 10 days and still in pain and swelling
