Hi,
I am Ann. I was, suprisingly, diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer 5 1/2 years ago. I was 57 years old. HR+ PR+ Her 2-. I have a tumor in my left breast and numerous bone mets.
The decision was to not remove the tumor. I had Chemo, Radiation and took that little tiny miracle pill Letrozole and Xgeva shots.
The radiologist said “Oh Sh!t” when she did my biopsy. She probably should not have said that but I do like knowing the truth. I was totally shocked. I had no symtoms except my back was getting really sore at work, even though I only sat. I have had a bad back since 8th grade.
The Letrozole worked great until about 5 mos ago. I showed some new mets in my spine. I had radiation treatments and I am now on Ibrance, Faslodex and XGeva.
Ibrance was not available when I was diagnosed.
I have been on Ibrance for 4 or 5 months. I do get really tired, especially lately. My eyes are watering. I have read others on Ibrance have watery eyes too.
I have not lost any hair🤗. I lost all my hair when I had .chemo 5 years ago.
My biggest complaint all through this has been my hips. I need two new hips but I not up for the rehab.
I was wondering how other people, who have what I have are doing 5 years in. Are you able to do all your normal activities. I am not.
Best to you all!
Ann
