Hi, Barb! I get same injection as well and notice general joint and back pain a few days later. It subsides but I've read that this med is classified as a "bone-modifying agent" and side effects can include joint pain, limb pain, and back pain. The most common side effect is fatigue. Hang in there, Barb!! XO Linda

Probably more than you wanted, but I refused these injections because of this. I do take my 1200 mg calcium and 5,000 units of Vitamin D. I can tell you that I took Fosomax for Osteoporosis for two years and my teeth loosened that I had to have them pulled for dentures, my lower back pain was excruciating at that point that I could not walk down the block on my street anymore. I stopped it on my own because my doctor could not see any measureable results in my bone scan that it had rebuilt any bone. Just said things didn't get any worse, so keep taking it. I finally said no more. My jaw kept locking up on me and was painful too. Many of these are listed here for Prolia injections as well. I am not saying to argue with your doctor, but I am saying when your body goes through all this it is telling you something. Prolia is a 60mg injection once every six months and my oncologist said well we are not treating your osteoporosis this is a once a month injection for bone loss. Does it help in curing cancer or a step toward remission? NO
I get the Faslodex injections, 1 on each side and they must have hit something last month because I have sciatica on right side leg and butt. So I would say it matters when they give you those injections.
Hi, I had my faslodex injection last Friday and about four days later my lower back and side of my upper thighs starting aching. I have bone Mets so I started worrying that it went there but perhaps it’s from the injection. So confusing and scary!!
